Top 5 Things to Do in Boston in August
Biking Boston is what Urban Adventours is all about! There are a lot of things you can see and do with a bike that you may not be able to do with a car or on foot. Here are our top 5 things to do in Boston in August:
1. Labor Day Fireworks
Summer is slowly coming to an end, which means one thing: awesome fireworks in Boston! August 30 at 8:15 PM, come to Christopher Columbus Park or Atlantic Wharf for a great view.
2. Fishermen’s Feast
The North End is known for its mouthwatering food, and there will be multiple food-focused festivals this month right in our very own neighborhood. The 108th fishermen’s feast begins August 16 and runs through the 19 in Christopher Columbus park. There will be live music, children’s activites like facepainting, and North End’s first annual meatball competition! (don’t really know how something is the first annual.. But that’s what it said on the website)
3. Go see the Red Sox beat the Yankees!
The Yankees vs. Red Sox rivalry goes back over a hundred years with the Curse of the Bambino. The added power of J.D. Martinez to the already strong lineup lead by Mookie Betts has helped reignite this amazing rivalry. The Yankees will be in town during the first week of August. Head over to Fenway to watch the Sox hopefully “Win, Dance, Repeat!”
4. Free Concerts in Boston
Throughout August, there will be free concerts performed by the Berklee College of Music. A variety of genres like pop, funk, rock, and more will be played at these events. These concerts take place at noon on most weekdays in the Boston Common and Thursday’s at noon in Atlantic Wharf
