Pump-Up Boston

Get Pumped About Going Green!

The Pump-Up Boston Initiative is our way to connect local businesses with the biking community, and keep everyone rolling while we do it…

The mission of the Pump-Up Boston Initiative is to support the cycling community by placing outdoor bicycle pumps at partnered establishments around the city. Keep an eye out for our unmistakeable green Pump-Up Boston pumps. Top off your tires and know that you, along with our partners, are helping to support the cyclists of Boston!

We offer 10% discounts on tours, rentals, and gear from our bike shop to all patrons who utilize businesses that support our cause. Ultimately this joint effort between Urban AdvenTours, local business, and the cycling community will lead to more people traveling by eco-friendly, healthy, and fun modes of transportation.

We hope that you are as pumped about this as we are and see the benefits of our vision through the Pump-Up Boston Initiative. If you are a business owner or a supporter of our initiative and want to get involved, please send an email to [email protected]. We would love to hear from you!

We proudly thank all of our partners in support of Pump-Up Boston!

A big thank you to Giant Bicycles who kindly donated 25 top-of-the-line Tower Pro 1 floor pumps to our initiative.

Equal Exchange Cafe

Equal Exchange has created Big Change for over 25 years. It all started with an idea: what if food could be traded in a way that is honest and fair, a way that empowers both farmers and consumers?

Our founders – Rink Dickinson, Jonathan Rosenthal and Michael Rozyne – asked this question as they envisioned a trade model that values farmers and consumers. So they took a big risk and plunged full-force into changing a broken food system. In 1986, they started with fairly traded coffee from Nicaragua and didn’t look back.
