Pump-Up Boston

GET PUMPED ABOUT GOING GREEN!

The Pump-Up Boston Initiative is our way to connect local businesses with the biking community, and keep everyone rolling while we do it…

IMG_1385The mission of the Pump-Up Boston Initiative is to support the cycling community by placing outdoor bicycle pumps at partnered establishments around the city. Keep an eye out for our unmistakeably green Pump-Up Boston pumps. Top off your tires and know that you, along with our partners, are helping to support the cyclists of Boston!

We offer 10% discounts on tours, rentals, and gear from our bike shop to all patrons who utilize businesses that support our cause. Ultimately this joint effort between Urban AdvenTours, local business, and the cycling community will lead to more people traveling by eco-friendly, healthy, and fun modes of transportation.

We hope that you are as pumped about this as we are and see the benefits of our vision through the Pump-Up Boston Initiative. If you are a business owner or a supporter of our initiative and want to get involved, please send an email to info@UrbanAdvenTours.com. We would love to hear from you!

We proudly thank all of our partners in support of Pump-Up Boston!

A big thank you to Giant Bicycles who kindly donated 25 top-of-the-line Tower Pro 1 floor pumps to our initiative.

Diesel Cafe

Co-owners Jennifer Park and Tucker Lewis opened Diesel Cafe in 1999. But long before that they were best friends with a dream of creating a land where they could drink coffee all day long, work with people they loved, respect the people with whom they worked and hopefully create a strong community along the way. We’re proud to partner with Jennifer and Tucker at both their locations, Diesel and Bloc 11 Cafe.

Equal Exchange Cafe

Equal Exchange has created Big Change for over 25 years. It all started with an idea: what if food could be traded in a way that is honest and fair, a way that empowers both farmers and consumers? Our founders – Rink Dickinson, Jonathan Rosenthal and Michael Rozyne – asked this question as they envisioned a trade model that values farmers and consumers. So they took a big risk and plunged full-force into changing a broken food system. In 1986, they started with fairly traded coffee from Nicaragua and didn’t look back.

Forge Baking Co.

Jennifer Park and Tucker Lewis’ most recent business venture, Forge Baking Company is a full-service operation that continues the tradition of honest, knowledgeable staff members and a friendly atmosphere that Bloc 11 and Diesel Cafe have become known for. Opened in early 2015, Forge will be providing all of the baked goods for the rest of the cafe family, so be sure to pick up a scone and pump-up your tires while you’re at it!
