MassCommute Bicycle Challenge 5/11/13-6/4/13

Do you watch bikers fly past you on their way to work everyday while you sit in traffic?  Not only are they getting a great workout in but they are keeping the environment cleaner and their wallets full.

The MassCommute Bicycle Challenge(MCBC) is a motivational week starting on May 11th, challenging businesses, schools, and municipalities to join the bicycling world by commuting to work.  Get in the competitive spirit by logging your trips during the week (up until May 19th) and then win prizes.  Newcomers and experienced riders all have the chance to win some great stuff with the celebratory “Bike Bash” on June 4th at Harvard’s Queenshead Pub!

If you are thinking about biking but aren’t sure this is the perfect time to try!  Come into our shop and rent out a hybrid, road, or mountain bike, for the week.  We can size you and set you up with the right gear to make this year’s Bay State Bike Week your best one yet!

Morning train commuters don’t have to feel left out.  Try riding your bike down to the train.  The MBTA is working to make bike parking facilities safer- bicyclists must now register with either a CharlieCard or Bike CharlieCard to access the Pedal & Park bike parking facilities.  For more information about getting on the T with your bike checkout the MBTA online.
