Cycle for Shetler 7/28/13

Emmaus is hosting this year’s 25th annual Cycle for Shelter.  This amazing ride uses donated funds to help rebuild the lives of homeless children and adults. Money raised for this ride is used in providing emergency shelter, housing search assistance, affordable housing, adult education, job training, and support services.

Emmaus expects that in the coming year over 2,500 homeless adults and children will seek their help.  Riding in this year’s Cycle for Shelter will aid tremensly in the endevours to benefit all of those who turn to Emmaus for help. Every donation goes a long way, according to Emmaus $20 helps pay for child tutoring materials at their Family Shelter, $50 helps buy software for Emmaus’ job training program, $100 feeds 30 people at Mitch’s Place Emergency Shelter, and $1000 supports permanent, afforable housing for homeless elders.  Last year Emmaus housed 200 families and 80 individuals in need.  Help them increase the number of people saved!
