Big Wheels for Big Kids

Our standard Boston fat bike rental offering features plus size 4″ tires, a wide range of gears, and a huge standover height so you don’t get bogged down if you have to put your foot down.

Great for riding on the street, on the sand, in the snow, through the mud, across the stream, through the woods, back across the street…you get the idea.

Our rental fleet consists of Specialized Fat boy, Kona Wos, and Reid Ares bicycles If you have a brand preference, please call us for details but availability is based on sizing and booking date. 

Rentals may be picked up at any time during operating hours on the booked date. Rentals may not be returned when the shop is closed.

Delivery is subject to availability, on a case-by-case basis. We request at least 48-hour notice for deliveries. Please call us at 617-670-0637 to discuss pricing and availability prior to booking.

All rental bookings are NON-REFUNDABLE; although you may change your rental date for a $20 rebooking fee per rider. If you need to cancel, you will receive credit which is good for use towards rentals and tours. 

Accessories and Add-ons

Pedals

We know that many people are particular about their pedals, and we are happy to install your pedal of choice for free if you bring them with you. You can also rent a pair of our SPD, SPD-SL, Crankbrothers, Speed Play, or LOOK Keo / Delta pedals for a flat rate of $25. If you aren’t clipping in, flat or toe cage pedals are available at no extra charge. We do not offer shoe rentals, but have a full selection of road and mountain biking shoes at the shop if you need some new ones!

Car racks

Need to get to a race or ride? We have car racks available for rent as well! We use the Saris Bones EX-3 trunk rack in our rental fleet,  it holds 3 bikes and costs $50 for up to three days, or $100 for up to a week. Racks fit most car makes and models, but please call ahead or stop by the shop if you are unsure. Please note that we are not able to assist you in mounting rented car racks.

Flat Kits

All fat bike rentals come with a flat kit attached to the saddle. Every flat kit is equipped with a replacement tube, patch kit, tire lever, CO2 cartridges, and multi-tool. At the end of your rental, you will be charged regular retail prices for any tubes or other materials used during your rental.

Disclaimer

Please treat our bicycles as if they were your own. You are liable for any and all damage, loss, or theft of rented items. Upon return, all of our bicycles receive a thorough inspection. Customers will be charged for damage found during this inspection.  There will be a cleaning fee of $50 if bicycle is not returned in a reasonably clean condition at the discretion of Urban Adventours. The rental period starts upon pickup and ends upon return of equipment. We do not store any rental items for customers. Rental items may be picked up and dropped off only during our opening hours. Additional fee of $100 will incur if rental items are returned during our closed hours.
