Road Bicycle Rental

Don’t go through the hassle of packing your road bike when you come to Boston – take one of ours out for a spin! Pick up anytime on the day of your booking, and return the bike by the same time the following day!

Full Carbon

The road bike rental saves you significant weight and makes the ride even more comfortable, featuring a top-performing Shimano 105 drivetrain, rim or hydraulic disc brakes, and a range of other features depending on availability. These bikes ride responsively, smoothly, and nimbly.

We offer a full range of sizes, including unisex and women’s specific geometries and sizing. Our rental fleet consists of Specialized Roubaix, and Scott Addict bicycles. If you have a brand preference, please call us for details but availability is based on sizing and booking date. 

While we will try to provide for any special requests in regards to brands of bikes, we cannot guarantee these requests. During busy periods, we may substitute Masi or other manufacturers’ road bikes for our regularly offered Specialized and Scott road bikes. We guarantee that the alternate bike provided will be of equal or better quality and componentry to the one that you reserve.

We require at least 48-hour notice for deliveries. Please call us at 617-670-0637 to discuss availability prior to booking.

Rentals may be picked up at any time during operating hours on the booked date. Rentals may not be returned when the shop is closed. All rental bookings are NON-REFUNDABLE; although you may change your rental date for a $20 rebooking fee per rider. If you need to cancel, you will receive credit which is good for use towards rentals and tours. 

Accessories and Add-ons

Pedals

We know that many people are particular about their pedals, and we are happy to install your pedal of choice for 10$, if you bring them with you. You can also rent a pair of our SPD, SPD-SL, Crankbrothers, Speed Play, LOOK Keo / Delta pedals, or Toe Cages for a flat rate of $25. If you aren’t clipping in, flat pedals are available at no extra charge. We do not offer shoe rentals, but have a full selection of road and mountain biking shoes at the shop if you need some new ones!

Car racks

Need to get to a race or ride? We have car racks available for rent as well! We use the Saris Bones EX-3 trunk rack in our rental fleet,  it holds 3 bikes and costs $50 for up to three days, or $100 for up to a week. Racks fit most car makes and models, but please call ahead or stop by the shop if you are unsure. Please note that we are not able to assist you in mounting rented car racks.

Flat Kits

All road bike rentals come with a flat kit attached to the saddle. Every flat kit is equipped with a replacement tube, patch kit, tire lever, CO2 cartridges, and multi-tool. At the end of your rental, you will be charged regular retail prices for any tubes or other materials used during your rental.

Disclaimer

Please treat our bicycles as if they were your own. Bicycles and their add-ons should ONLY be altered by our staff members. You are liable for any and all damage, loss, or theft of rented items. Upon return, all of our bicycles receive a thorough inspection. Customers will be charged for damage found during this inspection. There will be a cleaning fee of $50 if bicycle is not returned in a reasonably clean condition at the discretion of Urban Adventours. The rental period starts upon pickup and ends upon return of equipment. We do not store any rental items for customers. Rental items may be picked up and dropped off only during our opening hours. Additional fee of $100 will incur if rental items are returned during our closed hours.
