Top 5 May Events in Boston
Now that our spring fling with April is nearing its end, we’re moving on to bigger and better things, and they’re called May! Here’s our roundup of the best events Boston has to offer during the fifth month….
1. Art Week in Boston
Kicking off tonight, Art Week is a bi-annual creative revolution. This festival features over 100 artistic experiences (some are participatory and interactive) over the course of ten glorious days throughout eastern Massachusetts. Be there, or be square.
2. Mother’s Day Bike Tour
Nothing goes together better than spring, mothers, and bicycles, am I right? Give your mother the gift she’s really looking for this year. Our tours will show her a side of Boston you’ve never seen, and our guides will be sure to make her day as special as she is!
3. Harpoonfest
Need we say more? Harpoonfest is the unofficial kickoff to summer. Taking place the weekend of May 20th at Harpoon Brewery, this festival offers brewery tours, live music, an array of food trucks at your disposal, and did we mention beer? Buy your tickets today, and thank us later.
4. Boston Calling
Move over, London. Boston Calling is the music festival to beat this year. From Friday, 5/27 through Sunday, 5/29, Boston’s City Hall Plaza will see (and hear!) the likes of Sia, Sufjan Stevens, Disclosure, Haim, Elle King, and many more! Do yourself a favor and check this festival out.
5. Memorial Day Weekend
Memorial Day weekend is a magical time here in the Hub. Summer’s just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than to embrace your Americana patriotism? Visit the Garden of Flags, access the Museum of Fine Art for free, take in a parade, or rent a bike from Urban AdvenTours and see what this fine city is made of.
