The Assistant Manager is someone who helps the GM and the business owner make sure that things are running smoothly. Here at Urban AdvenTours, we have many moving parts, with the retail bike shop and the tour/rental side working in tandem with each other. Details are exceptionally important for the safety of our customers and for the high quality of our products.
We are looking for self-driven leaders with an excellent work-ethic. The Assistant manager is expected to take part in all administrative meetings, be able to train new employees, and take leadership on tasks given them by the GM or business owner. Our best employees are resourceful and have a high level of accountability.
- Taking leadership on specific tasks and staffing
- Managing to do lists and making sure that the team is staying on track
- In person and over the phone customer service
- Training new hires
The applicant must have at least one year of managerial experience and have some experience in customer service. This position requires proficiency in both the Google Suite and Microsoft Office, as well as general computer knowledge. It is important that the applicant is good at writing and communicating clearly and has strong self-motivation. Lastly, like all other positions here at Urban AdvenTours, it is important that the applicant is passionate about bicycles in some way!
