Wonder Woman is one of the biggest female superheroes, so who wouldn’t want to join in on the Summer Bike Tour hosted by Wonder Women of Boston and Discover Roxbury? July 18th head out at 6pm from Roxbury Crossing MBTA Station for an easy ride that will give you some great background to Boston’s history.
The history covers “relatively well-known protests against the construction of I-95 along the Southwest Corridor. From there our attention will focus on mid-20th century revolutionary leaders Martin Luther King, Jr and Malcolm X. After passing the former locations of the Black Panthers and SNCC, we’ll end with an overview of the 1967 and 1968 riots in Grove Hall and the police staging grounds in Franklin Park.”
If you need to rent a bike we have discounted rentals! Pick up your bike around 5pm from our shop and return it sometime between 9am and 12pm on July 19th for $20 (lock and helmet are included).
