Urban AdvenTours Partners

Urban AdvenTours is proud to support the following organizations:

LANDRY'S BICYCLES at 890 Commonwealth Ave. in Boston is the home of Urban AdvenTours

Landry's Bicycles is a legendary bike shop with four locations in New England, one of which is conveniently located on Commonwealth Avenue in Boston. Aside from having the best mechanics, bikes and parts in Boston, Landry's is nationally recognized as a strong advocate for bicycle use. We are proud to be partnered with this progressive and professional shop and urge all bike lovers to check them out!

Bikes not Bombs

Bikes not Bombs (BNB) is an organization that truly appreciates the revolutionary power of bicycles. The ultimate in bike advocates, they teach young and old alike, in places as diverse as Boston, Ghana and Honduras, how to maintain their bikes, giving people all over the world valuable skills and invaluable independence. BNB packs and ships bikes to all corners of the globe
and spreads the transformative power of bicycles all over the world. Visit them and help in their mission!

City of Boston
Urban AdvenTours has worked closely with the city and Mayor Menino to bring forward our joint mission of making Beantown a Green town; healthy, safe and friendly to bicyclists. We've teamed up with the city to put forward the following programs and events: Boston Bikes, the Hub on Wheels Festival, and the Community Ride Series.

Mass Bike
Urban AdvenTours sponsors the Massbike Spins Ride Series; a set of fun rides in and around the city.

Livable Streets Alliance
We work hand in hand with this group and wholeheartedly support their mission to promote a livable city by "rethinking urban transportation".

Central Bike Service (CBS)
This organization, started by members of Livable Streets Alliance, Urban AdvenTours, HUB, and Go Loco, has set as their mission the improvement of the overall bike infrastructure and systems at universities and organizations in Boston.

The Greater Boston Visitor and Convention Bureau
Urban AdvenTours has created strong partnerships with the Vistor and Convention Bureau and we are both very excited to offer a breath of fresh air - original, fun and healthy tours of Boston to visitors.

League of American Bicyclists
Urban AdvenTours is proud to be partnered with League in their nationwide mission to advocate and educate on behalf of bicyclists and set up fun rides and events in their communities.

Bikes Belong
Bikes Belong is a nationwide bicycle advocacy group focusing on four specific areas; Federal Policy and Funding, National Partnerships, Community Grants and Promoting Bicycling.

Charles River Wheelmen
The CRW is a social riding group that organizes and undertakes fun rides all year long. The Wheelmen ride all over New England and through some of the most beautiful scenery you can explore on two wheels.

Zipcar
We understand that you can’t always ride your bicycle, especially during snowy Boston winters, so, if you must drive, we suggest using Zipcar, a car-sharing company based in Boston. It's the greenest way to drive in Boston.

Walk Boston
Urban AdvenTours knows that Boston is ‘America’s walking city’, and we support advocacy groups like Walk Boston, who are taking steps (pun intended) to reduce carbon emissions and promote healthy lifestyles here in Boston.

Trek Bicycle's ‘One world, Two Wheels’ Advocacy Campaign
Through this program, Trek Bicycle, one of the world's leading bicycle manufacturers, is using its own money and influence to help make bicycling more viable in every community, keeping people and their environments healthy, happy and strong.

Jason Fischer, Esq.
Unfortunately, accidents happen, and if you happen to be unlucky and get into an accident on your bike, Mr. Jason Fischer specializes in the laws regarding bicyclists and their concerns on the road.

Citizen Schools
Citizens Schools is a nationwide program to link middle school students to adult volunteers for after school projects. Urban AdvenTours is proud to offer the ‘Bike and Body Maintenance’ class, through Citizens Schools, at the Charlestown Edwards Middle School, here in our backyard.

Boston Natural Areas Network (BNAN)
Urban AdvenTours is very happy to be running the ‘Two Wheelin' Teens: City Bike Trips for Boston Youth' program. Together with BNAN, we explore Boston parks, bikepaths and trails, using our favorite mode of transportation: bikes!

Michele Topor
Ms. Topor provides amazing tours of the North End Market, the home of Italian culinary excellence in Boston.

Redbones
Not only does Redbones offer up some of the most authentic, mouth watering, tender ribs and barbecue around, they're also bike lovers! Check out events like the Tour de France Bike Breakfast and their great bike valet in Somerville's Davis square.

Clif Bar
Urban AdvenTours supports Clif Bar's commitment to environmental awareness, and we use their ‘clif kids’ products for our school programs. Last but not least, this very green company puts out a healthy and delicious product - perfect for a hungry cyclist!

The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR)
The DCR manages the states beautiful open areas, including the Charles River Bikepath, a major bicycle artery in Boston.

Bike and Roll
The people who run Bike and Roll are dedicated to bicycle travel and touring a city on two wheels. Next time you visit New York City, Washington DC, Chicago, San Francisco or their newest location, Miami, you should look these guys up for the ‘wheel deal’. See these great American cities the way they were meant to be seen - by bike!
