People love our tours. Often times they even write nice things about us too. Here are some of the reasons why people rave about riding with Urban AdvenTours:

It was the best part of their trip!

“Fantastic, knowledgeable staff, fun ride! This is my favorite thing I have done in Boston. Our guides were funny and intelligent, the equipment functional, the ride relatively easy, the guides kept us safe in the busy streets of Boston on a Saturday. I would definitely take another one of their tours at any time! There were at least 5 guides with us the whole time and the owner of the company rode with us for the first half hour to make sure everything was going well. This company is a class act!”

“Yo Urban AdvenTours, I just had to give a shout out to Baylor and Andrew. I originally came to Boston for a conference over by the World Trade Center. Hated it; I thought Boston was lame. By the end of my bike tour, I had a new favorite city. I went to New York the next day; in short I was unimpressed. The next time I decide to travel, it’s Viva Boston!”

“My nephew Maverick and I had a ‘private tour’ about a week ago with Garrett in Boston.
By private I mean that he and I were the only ones on a group tour, so we were delighted.
Neither Maverick nor I are experienced bike riders so we took a chance, a little fearful that the ride would be too hard on the uphills, etc. It turned out to be THE BEST experience we had during our 6 days in Boston. We had the 2pm City View Tour and enjoyed the pace, the good quality of bikes, the narration which was just right, not too much commentary and the safety of the ride, with Garrett signaling cars during left turns to wait for our slow group of 3. So, keep up the good work and thank you Garrett for a great time for two who rarely ride bikes.”

“We booked a Classic City tour on a Monday morning. After a bit of a low key check-in we found we were the only people on the tour. After we met our guide, things really got going. He was completely flexible what we did (although I think we followed the general planned route) and set a pace that was just right for our family, including my 11 year old daughter. Boston is busy but very safe to cycle around and we never felt in danger from the traffic. The route was great – we saw the North End, the river, Fenway Park, shopping districts and church’s. The guide was fantastic, very friendly, giving us a real insight into the City. We had 3 days in Boston and this 2.5 hour trip was voted by our whole family as the highlight.

They saw lots of Boston from up close.

“If you have limited time resources and want to take in as much Boston as you can, I can not think of a better way to do it. Your tours covered much more than I could have on foot or possibly even car/taxi due to the versatility of a bike. And your tour guides presented themselves with an excellent mix of knowledge, personality, healthy opinion, and humor. What a great combination. Thank you. I will certainly recommend your tour to friends and will be a repeat customer some day.
Thank you….well worth the cost.”

“My wife and I had a great time. We saw more of the city in 3 hours than we could have in a couple of days by ourselves. The equipment was top notch and the guides where great. We had more fun than two people should be allowed to have. If we get back to Boston we will ride again.”

“This tour is a fantastic way to see Boston. We had two guides and a mechanic on our tour. Both the guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. The bikes were in excellent condition and we were able to do 12 miles in 2-3 hours. The stops were well timed. I find biking tours to be an excellent way to really feel connected and grounded to a city. Any time we stopped our feet were planted on the ground and it is just a completely different feeling that sitting in a bus. I feel more in tune with the city this way. Bottom line… excellent tour, very professionally run.

“The best thing about this bike tour is that it is adaptable for any tourist. If you’re only in town for a little while, this is a great way to see A LOT of Boston in a short amount of time. A 3-hour, easy-paced bike ride is much more hands-on (not to mention quiet) than a tour bus; plus, you never have to sit in traffic! Alternatively, this bike tour is a great introduction/teaser to Boston if you happen to be spending several days in town. This was my case and after riding the City View Tour, I chose certain areas and neighborhoods to revisit on my own later during my stay. I had planned to rent a bike for my own excursions but weather conditions made me reconsider. (BTW, I now regret this decision…) Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend doing a bike tour while in Boston. Even if you’re not an athlete or avid cyclist, the ride is super-easy, flat, and well-paced for camera stops and asking questions. I travel frequently and have snobby-high standards for tours but the gang at Urban AdvenTours really impressed me. From booking my tour online to riding with two awesome and friendly guides, the entire experience was quality. When I return to Boston in the future, I will definitely be visiting them again for a different tour and/or bike rental. Ride Boston!”

“Want a great way to get an overview of Boston while taking the load off of your feet? See Boston from the comfortable seat of an Urban AdvenTours bike. Your knowledgeable guide will take you up to the front doors of some of Boston’s most famous sites. The tour commentary is fact-filled and full of tidbits that you can use to impress even the oldest Bostonians. Since our tour group was small (it was a Tuesday morning on a muggy August day) but all experienced cyclists, our guide allowed us many more choices of destinations than the standard tour allowed. So we covered about 50% more miles and attractions than the brochure advertised and still got back on time. Icy water bottles provided by the company kept us cool and refreshed for the duration of the ride. Next time, we’ll take the sunset Harbor Tour!”

“This was our first visit to Boston and the bike tour was a great way to see the city. It gave us an idea of what there was to see and helped us decide what to do next. We were very lucky to have a perfect autumn day, sunny yet not too hot. The ride wasn’t very strenuous at all as we stopped often. Our guides were enthusiastic, fun and very friendly. They knew a lot about the city and their presentations for each site we stopped at was interesting and not ‘robotic”. We also felt very safe riding through the city. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to do something a little different and ‘interactive.’ When we go back to Boston we probably will do another one of their tours.”

They had a great time with their family.

“My name is Madeleine, and am 10 years old. I went on one of the bike tours. It was the most fun thing to do in Boston. In my opinion. I got to have fun, learn some history, and go biking all at once! There are beautiful sights that I saw. I highly recommend these bike tours to children. There are some really friendly tour guides there. I went to the bridge of Cambridge, and I got to learn about Oliver Smoots. It’s an interesting story. If I could I would go back to Boston, and take another bike tour.”

“Hi, We rented bikes from Daniel at the park. His service was excellent as was the other man ( I didn’t catch his name). We are a family of 5 who enjoyed a great ride around the Charles river. Please let Daniel know that we did take his recommendation to go the daily catch and it was Fantastic! He took the time to give us thoughtful answers to all our questions. We have a wonderful memory of Boston’s hospitality at it’s best. Thanks again.”

“I noted in my reservation that my two teenage sons had Asperger’s Disorder (Autism Spectrum). The tour guides were prepared for them. They reassured me that I didn’t need to explain anything to them or the rest of the group. My boys were well integrated, all of their questions and corrections were encouraged and welcomed. They seemed prepared to intervene to avoid episodes of frustration intolerance. It was a great day for us.”

“We are a family of 5 with children 11, 13 and 16. This was the best way to see a lot of Boston together and see many things we would not have seen using any other form of transportation. When our kids look back this will be one of their most vivid memories of our trip. Thank you.”

“My 13 year old son and I took this tour on a Sunday morning. We had a blast! Our tour guide Ed was passionate and knowledgeable about Boston architecture, history and beauty. The bikes were sturdy and comfortable and the route with it’s ‘garden’ theme scenic and very do-able for this out of shape 40+ mother. My hard-to-impress (as he’s been too many places already) son deemed this ‘the best most awesome tour ever.’

“One word for this tour? Unmissable. An absolute must for anyone and everyone visiting Boston. Every city should offer this. And I guarantee that if I’m ever back in Boston, whether it’s next year or in 20 years time, the first thing I’ll be doing is jumping back on a bike and riding off into the city with the Urban Adventours gang. We had the best time, and let’s just say I was in the good books with my parents for the rest of the holiday. So much so that they’ve decided our next holiday will be a cycling one in the Netherlands. Thank you Urban AdvenTours. “

They feel comfortable on a bike in the city now!

“It was Fantastic! Twice! I have encouraged everyone I know who has visited me to go on a tour and I have been on two myself! It’s a great way to see the ins and outs of the city and it really helped me become more comfortable finding my way around here. I also enjoyed the stops on our tour which were full of information and laughs from our tour guides. I also am more comfortable about biking in the city on a regular basis! Boston is really a walking city but this is a great way to cover more ground and to make your visit well worth it! Happy Biking!”

“I would just like to thank UrbanAdventours for giving me the courage to get on a bicycle again. Not only was your tour entertaining to a local Bostonian; it made me want to purchase a bike immediately and resolved my fear of bicycling in the city.
Thanks again!”

“This was only the third time in my life (42 yrs old) that I had been on a bicycle and I have to say that I was very nervous about the 10 mile tour. All of my fears were alleviated by your amazing staff. I did the 10 a.m. tour on Sunday Aug 29th. The guides were with me, motivating me every pedal along the way (especially up the hills). This is a great way to see the city and all that it offers. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone visiting.”

“I had never been on a bike tour, and I hadn’t ridden a bike in YEARS. It felt great and I was smiling the whole time; a very different and unique way to get to know the city in a couple of hours, going through places I wouldn’t have otherwise. Definitely recommend it!!”

It was the best tour in Boston.

“Best tour we did in 3 days of Boston sight seeing. Even better than the Fenway Park tour.”

“I took a Duck Tour last year and it was fun, but the entire time I was bouncing along 10 feet above the streets. The guide was funny and informative, but I felt very disconnected from the city. Urban AdvenTours put me right on street level where I could feel the pulse of Boston. Riding was easy and fun and the staff was fantastic! You really get to explore the nooks and crannies of old and new Boston that you would never see on any other tour. Plus there is a real sense of accomplishment after the relaxing bike ride. Once the tour was over I headed into the nearby North End for some pastries and felt guilt free chowing down! Try feeling that way after sitting on your butt while a trolley drives you around the city. NOTHING beats Boston by bike! Safe and fun and I would recommend to anyone visiting the city. Also, the sunset tours are fun and romantic. Great for dates!“

“I was a little skeptical about my ability to “bike Boston”, since I hadn’t spent much time on a bike in the past few years (especially on city streets with traffic… yikes!) – but, as it turned out, this was not a concern AT ALL with this group activity. My boyfriend and I both had a wonderful time, and we went on three different tours while we were in Boston – this was BY FAR the BEST! We saw nearly every neighborhood in the City, including the North End, Beacon Hill and Fenway – and had a great group of fellow tourists and tour guides (around 25 tourists, and 4 tour guides) that made this so much fun. We had great, high-quality bike equipment and safe, knowledgeable, and engaging tour guides. I would highly recommend this as a “MUST DO’ while in Boston – and then you can skip some of the other tours!”
