Urban AdvenTours is a locally owned small business located in Boston’s North End, offering bicycle tours and rentals as well as a full-service sales and repair shop.
We are looking to hire a qualified candidate to assist in our marketing and sales projects for 2017. The Marketing Associate will be working directly with our Marketing Manager to facilitate communications, outreach, event planning and much more. The workload will be split between marketing duties and bike shop operations. Applicants should be skilled at multitasking and prioritization with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Operations Interact in person and on the phone with a variety of guests, continuously ensuring a high level of professionalism. Maintain the appearance and organization of the space inside and out. Provide Boston recommendations for guests and assist with directions. Maintain our online photo archives and customer database.
Sales and Marketing
• Assist with execution of marketing tactics including but not limited to:
o Digital/Social media management
o Use of Constant Contact
o Guerilla Marking
o Event planning and execution
o Web Analytics
o B2B and B2C outreach
o Assisting in the day-to-day tour and rental operations
o Moving, renting & selling bicycles, accessories and apparel
o Customer Service – Use of Point of Sale software
o Chance to co-lead bike tours
Graphic Design and/or Marketing experience preferred. Cyclists with experience cycling in Boston. Point of Sale/Retail experience preferred. Previous knowledge of WordPress and Constant Contact helpful. Additional language skills a plus. Familiarity with Boston, knowledge of how to get around and places to see are a must!
We are flexible with hours but require a set schedule.
